A Participação da sociedade civil na construção da governança global ambiental: o caso dos povos indígenas brasileiros na Cop 26. 2023. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Bacharelado em Relações Internacionais) – Universidade do Estado do Pará, Belém, 2023.https://bibliotecadigitaldetcc.uepa.br/handle/riuepa/616In view of the emergence of environmental and climate issues in International Relations, it is seen that this agenda becomes a theme engaged not only by States, but by civil society as a whole. Considering the Conference of the Parties (COP), held within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, as the highest multilateral instance to address climate issues, this research aims to analyze the participation of Brazilian indigenous peoples in the twenty-sixth edition of the Conference, in order to understand how the insertion and recognition of the indigenous peoples of Brazil were incorporated at COP 26. Bringing up global environmental and climate governance, a historic of the Conference of the Parties and the engagement of Brazilian indigenous peoples in climate debates, a case study is carried out, using engagement, relevance, place of speech, number of representatives and inclusion of responses in the document as an analysis criteria to detail how the participation of Brazilian indigenous peoples in COP 26 occurred. In conclusion, it is noticed that although the Brazilian indigenous peoples have articulated themselves greatly to participate in the Conference, there was no engagement in terms of final decisions proposed by them and full inclusion of the group at the COP.Língua PortuguesaAbertoIndigenous peoplesConference of the partiesCOP 26GovernanceA Participação da sociedade civil na construção da governança global ambiental: o caso dos povos indígenas brasileiros na Cop 26.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (TCC)
