Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Bacharelado em Relações Internacionais) – Universidade do Estado do Pará, Belém, 2024.https://bibliotecadigitaldetcc.uepa.br/handle/riuepa/623This article sought to understand the importance of Brazil in the BRICS within the scope of cultural diplomacy as a tool of Brazilian foreign policy. For this purpose, qualitative bibliographic and documentary analysis research was used as an exploratory analysis methodology, focusing on the case study of Brazil and its cultural diplomacy practices. In this sense, BRICS, a diplomatic political grouping composed of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, carries out south-south cooperation that promotes several areas, such as economy, culture, among others. Thus, the cooperation practiced within the bloc enabled culture to gain more space in the debates at the Chiefs' Summits organized by the group from 2009 onwards, providing greater debate and encouragement for activities in the cultural sector. In view of this, the results showed Brazil developed important cultural activities, mainly in sports, such as the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, in the cinema and theater sector, some relevant activities organized by the group were also observed. Furthermore, the cultural exchange practiced between the five countries was relevant, but still modest in some sectors such as literature. In the case of Brazil, cultural diplomacy proved to be relevant, as despite some changes in foreign policy from 2016 and the end of the Ministry of Culture in 2018, Brazil remained committed at the BRICS level to promoting activities in the cultural sphere.Língua PortuguesaAbertoBRICSBrazilCultural diplomacyCultureSouth-south cooperationDiplomacia cultural no BRICS: o caso brasileiro e sua importância no grupo.Artigo Científico (TCC)
