Methodology: In this work, a systematic review of the literature was carried out. A query was carried out in two databases on the CAPES journal platform, in which three searches were carried out in each base. The databases consulted were Web of Science (WOS) and Scopus. Results: The searches totaled 158 articles from both databases, extracted into a spreadsheet, which was refined. With the refinement process completed, the final base had 50 articles for reading. However, for 14 articles, access was not obtained through the databases used, therefore, a complete reading of 36 articles was carried out. Eighteen studies were found that rejected for this literature review, with 18 rejecting with the identification of barriers and 5/18 with facilitators. Still, 131 barriers and 43 facilitators were found for the implementation of i4.0. Final considerations: With the results of this work, it is possible to verify that the theme has been pleasing in recent years, demonstrating its importance for the industrial environment. Also, it is possible to identify the possible barriers and facilitators that companies will face when implementing Industry 4.0 in their organizations.
