Given the need to diversify Brazil's electric matrix, solar photovoltaic energy is a viable and abundant source of energy. In this way, solar energy can contribute to the development of isolated communities, reducing energy costs. This work aimed to carry out an assessment of the implementation of a ice factory with a photovoltaic system, for the production of sufficient electricity for its activities, under a socio-economic analysis, to meet the needs of fishermen in the Santo Antonio community, in the municipality of Salinopolis, in the state of Pará. A case study was carried out, with visits to the site and interviews with residents to evaluate the socio-economic profile, needs and way of life of the community. It was detected that the ideal system should be dimensioned to generate around 1400 kWh/month. The initial investment for the installation of the system is recovered in 2 years, and from the 2nd year, the enterprise begins to have considerable profitability.
