The guide production had as goal to help future designers to represent some of the characters of Brazilian culture in a more respectful and faithful way to the origin of those characters. The scientific methodology was based on Gil’s work (2002), with the objective of understanding characters from Amazonian culture and their connection to the Amazonian people, thus refining ideas on how to address the challenges encountered. The research was exploratory and includes an analysis of the existing bibliographic repertoire on these characters. The technical procedures were chosen from a qualitative and quantitative approach, including: bibliographic research, documentary research, and surveys. For creating the manual, two methodologies were selected: Munari’s (1998), and Tillman’s (2019) methodology specifically for character design techniques. The identified characteristics were applied in various illustrations that represent different interpretations of the characters and in a character sheet that highlights each character’s main attributes. The project resulted in a digital guide with 45 pages, including pre- and post-textual elements, featuring illustrations and annotations about five of the most well-known characters from Brazilian culture.Língua PortuguesaAbertoCharacter designDesignFolkloreCultureTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso (TCC)
