The choice of Netflix and South Korea as objects of study is justified, respectively, by the diversity of content and global reach, which makes the platform an interesting object of study to understand the dynamics of consumption and resulting cultural and diplomatic impacts, and by Hallyu as a cultural phenomenon, which represents the dissemination and popularity of South Korean culture beyond national borders.
