The problem of illegal gold mining in this Indigenous Land will be addressed, with the aim of understanding the extent to which this scenario represents an ideology of economic development. The method of epistemological rupture was used, putting the decolonial turn into practice, since the study has as its main theoretical reference the neo-extractivist paradigm, decolonial and indigenous authors, that is, the case will be specially developed through the lens of original peoples. It is concluded that the situation of illegal gold mining in the Mebêngôkre Kayapó Indigenous Land is directly related to the current model of neo-extractivist economic development, which always aims for profit and is based on the false idea of progress, as well as that colonialism is rooted in our society, making the economy linked to the exploitation of the forest's natural resources something normalized, affecting not only the Mebêngôkre Kayapó who are directly harmed by the destruction of their territory, in many ways, as well as humanity as a whole, which lives linked to nature, and ends up being harmed by this deterioration.Língua PortuguesaAbertoIndigenous landMebêngôkre KayapóIllegal gold miningEconomic development modelNeoextractivismArtigo Científico (TCC)
