Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Bacharelado em Design) - Universidade do Estado do Pará, Belém, 2019.https://bibliotecadigitaldetcc.uepa.br/handle/riuepa/693The prostheses are products that generate great influence in the life of who of those uses them, therefore the prostheses market is in constant desenvolment, releasing every year new technologies and different ways of improving the living conditions of people that are often marginalized and even forgotten by public bodies. The accessibility and concept of social inclusion are the guiding principles of projects for the development of prostheses. One of the largely responsible for effectiveness in functionality of a prosthesis and a protected compartment called a fitting. This element can be considered as the main component of a prosthesis, once which is considered an interface between the residual limb and the external medium, a main being one of the main responsible for the comfort and safety of its user. In the last years, several types of systems have been created for the external fittings, but it’s perceived a pattern without structural development of such systems, so that other functions of the prosthesis fitting are little explored. As is the case with the aesthetic and symbolic function; therefore, few are variants and options that can to supply the needs focused on these functions. This deficiency related to this element of the prosthesis has as consequence less identification of the person who underwent the surgical process of amputation, generating insecurity, shame, rejection and not-self acceptance. Thus, this work aims to redesign external fittings with the objective of developing in an integrated way the practical, aesthetic and symbolic functions of this object of study, since the good development of such functions causes marketing impacts, individually in its user and collectively in society. Such market expectations should be a project in which understands the prosthetic fitting through a different vision, exploring in this product all its functions. Individually, the product is focused on stimulating self-acceptance, improving patient well-being and as consequence in a better adaptation process. On the other hand, this self-acceptance generates therefore the existence of people, who come to assume their condition, acting as points of representation in a society that marginalizes them.Língua PortuguesaAbertoRedesignAmputationFittingProsthesisInclusionRedesign do encaixe externo de prótese para uma mulher amputada.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (TCC)
