Caracterização fitossociológica e dendometrica de Cordia goeldiana Huber no sistema de manejo florestal sustentável na Amazônia Brasileira Oriental. 2023. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Bacharelado em Engenharia Florestal) - Universidade do Estado do Pará, Belém, 2023.https://bibliotecadigitaldetcc.uepa.br/handle/riuepa/502In sustainable forest management, it is necessary to understand the ecology and structure of each species that constitutes the forest community. Disregarding the rarity criteria of species can drive the gradual loss of these species in the forest. Cordia goeldiana Huber (Cordiaceae) is a species that stands out due to its valuable wood and has been extensively exploited. Therefore, this study aimed to characterize the phytosociology, diameter distribution, and population dynamics of Cordia goeldiana in areas of the Brazilian Amazon forest. For this purpose, data stored in the Tropical Forest Monitoring application from areas monitored by Embrapa Eastern Amazon were utilized. Phytosociological parameters of density, dominance, and frequency were analyzed, along with the diameter distribution and population dynamics of the species, including mortality, recruitment, and growth rates. The phytosociological results from eight experimental areas totaled an accumulation of 128,661.00 individuals of all species. Within this context, the species C. goeldiana represented 185 trees. In comparisons among the areas, C. goeldiana exhibited relatively low density, ranging from 0.01% to 0.84%. The diameter distribution of the species in seven out of eight areas showed irregularities with a lack or accumulation of individuals in certain diameter classes. Notably, the Shet Farm area displayed a regular diameter distribution of the species. The average annual growth for the entire population of Cordia goeldiana across the areas ranged from 0.44 cm/year in the Moju area to 0.005 cm/year in the Jari area. In terms of growth within diameter classes, the Jari area exhibited the lowest growth rates for the species in the classes analyzed. Regarding mortality and recruitment rates in four analyzed areas, two areas had higher mortality rates than recruitment rates, while two areas showed the opposite result. Ultimately, the species C. goeldiana generally displayed low population density, with diversified growth, recruitment, and mortality rates.Língua PortuguesaAbertoConservationRare speciesForest managementCaracterização fitossociológica e dendometrica de Cordia goeldiana Huber no sistema de manejo florestal sustentável na Amazônia Brasileira Oriental.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (TCC)
