Part of the management process corresponds to programming the replenishment of final products and raw material. One mean of programming this resupply is by using replenishment models, which, in their majority, were developed in order to reduce total inventory costs. Among all the existing models, there is a group related to the Joint Replacement Problem (JRP), which corresponds to the replenishment of multiple items simultaneously in the same order, aiming total cost reduction. The literature presents several optimization and approximation solutions for the problem, with different contexts of application and distinct solution techniques, which result in a large quantity of different solution proposals. In this way, it was verified a necessity of gathering all the main contributions in JRP and their significant features. Therefore, this research performed the mapping of the several solutions to the JRP, considering the period from 2006 to 2015. The research method used was the Systematic Review due to its rigorous methodology in assessing the literature resources in order to describe greatest contributions in the field of study. As a result, it was observed a great variety of solutions related to different levels of complexity as well as there is a search for solutions of easy understanding and application. Hence, it was noticed that the heuristic method detached itself due do its simplicity and practicality in understanding and application.
