This research collects and investigates in a synthetized manner these manifestations, while also providing special attention to interior design theories, which involve spatial organization, color psychology and acoustics. The main purpose of this monograph is, therefore, to relate and combine concepts such as culture, performance and interior design through an intervention in a collective cultural center. Always having in mind that such place should be devoted to the dramatic arts and other cultural manifestations in the city of Belém – Pará – Brazil. In order to achieve the main goal of this research, there was also an investigation concerning the history of western theatre, as well as national Brazilian and local theatre.
