The presence of an urban furniture in a space can influence the behavior of the users on it. Believing in this hypothesis, this work has the purpose of creating an urban furniture for the district of Marambaia that contributes to the effective appropriation of the space, from the construction of an urban identity relating the public to the place. To reach the result, bibliographical surveys were carried out together with field research on the most relevant aspects of the neighborhood, permeating the concepts of urban space, urban design, identity, appropriation and furniture design.
