TCC (Graduação em Design) - Universidade do Estado do Pará, Centro de Ciências Naturais e Tecnologia, Belém, 2018.https://bibliotecadigitaldetcc.uepa.br/handle/riuepa/546The following work presents the creation of a collection of jewels inspired by the amazoniam legends related to the rivers and the riverside peoples, using as alternative gem to the tradicional, the otolith from the White Hake which were obtained from the scientific expedition to Ilha of the Combu and the collection of otoliths collected from the heads of the White Hake that are discarded in the fairs of the city of Belém. For their accomplishment, they were investigated about the gems used in the jewels, with focus on the organic gems, the use of alternative materials aand the techniques of jewelry used, as well as research on the study material, by means of the general approach of the characteristics of the fish that possess otoliths, the physical-chemical characteristics and the experimental studies, how much the techniques of beneficiation for the use in jewels, realized in the material.
