Given the economic and cultural value of Açaí berry, this paper points out the role of China as an importante trading partner for the expansion of the fruit exports, thus promoting its consolidation in the Chinese import agenda. The process of internationalization of Açaí berry will be discussed based on a case study carried out with the company “100% Amazônia” and a SWOT analysis framework, highlighting the regional development promoted by the commercialization of the fruit, and the strengthening of commercial relations between Pará and China. Açaí has been presented as a versatile product due to its application in the food and cosmetics sector, becoming more attractive to the foreign market.
