In that regard, the global public goods theory released in the bosom of United Nations Program for Development offers a framework for the opening of the debate concerning the nonrivalry in consumption, non-exclusivity of benefit, and transgenerational feature of these goods. Amongst them is the environment. Thus, Brazilian Amazon turned out classified as a “common heritage of humanity.” Notwithstanding, it lacks criticality on the use of concepts over Brazilian Amazon reality within that debate, and about the role of the political community and its transformation for the provision of positive environmental externalities. The aim of this research is to identify the implications from labeling Brazilian Amazon as a global public good in the ambit of environmental governance, utilizing the dialectical method of scientifical research with systematic review research procedures on secondary sources.Língua PortuguesaAbertoEnvironmental governanceGlobal public goodsxBrazilian AmazonSovereigntyCritical theoryA Amazônia é um bem público global?: implicações da classificação no âmbito da governança ambiental global.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (TCC)
