Esta pesquisa parte do desenvolvimento de um mobiliário inspirado no contraste sociocultural presente na região belenense, particularmente, a relação entre os ribeirinhos e os moradores da cidade. A pesquisa baseia-se em autores como Lia Krucken, Rafael Cardoso, Lucy Nyemeyer, e outros. A importância da valorização cultural em produtos locais e a semiótica por meio das significações dos signos e comunicação do produto ao consumidor. A pesquisa se deu pela investigação no bairro do Umarizal e a ilha do Combu por meio de conversas e imagens fotográficas, locais destinados para este trabalho, analisando o cotidiano dos moradores, a particularidade de cada cenário. A relação deles é mostrada através do mobiliário proposto, o resultado envolve desde o contexto histórico de surgimento da sociedade paraense, a questão social, as manifestações culturais e sua diversidade, agregando o rústico ao contemporâneo. Criando principalmente uma relação de pertencimento e uma reflexão a respeito desse contraste existente na região belenense que compreende entre o rio e a rua.

This research is based on the development of a furniture inspired by the sociocultural contrast present in the Belenian region, particularly the relationship between the riverside inhabitants and the residents of the city. The research is based on authors such as Lia Krucken, Rafael Cardoso, Lucy Niemeyer, and others. The importance of cultural valorization in local products and the semiotics through the meanings of the signs and communication of the product to the consumer. The research was done by the investigation in the district of Umarizal and the island of Combu by means of conversations and photographic images, places destined for this work, analyzing the daily life of the residents, the particularity of each scenario. Their relationship is shown through the proposed furniture, the result involves from the historical context of emergence of the Pará society, the social question, the cultural manifestations and their diversity, adding the rustic to the contemporary. Creating mainly a relation of belonging and a reflection on this contrast existing in the region belenense that comprises between the river and the street.
